               Who are we?                     
 The 2008 school year begins our 29th year...    
 not all of us  have been around that long though.
We started out as an intramural clogging group.  
That means we learned how to dance (at some   
 time) free of charge after the school day at       
 Conyers Middle School.
If chosen for the team during either the tryout  in
December or in May,we join the exhibition team. 
Currently there are 18 dancers
  (6th grade and up) plus our 2 directors and
our 2 choreographer/instructors. We meet
 once a week to practice together. We enjoy     
 performing in public for anyone that asks,      
 free of charge. We dance to different styles      
 of music performing line dances, mixers           
 and partner dances.

INTRAMURAL CLOGGING INTEREST MEETING

Sept 4th at 4PM in the CMS Theatre

Physicals will be required this year for participation.
Forms will be available at the interest meeting.

Clogging is great fun.  If you want to learn clogging OR already clog and can't get enough, come on out and clog with us on Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:00PMin the CMS Theatre

Cotton Pickin’ Update Sept. 4, 2008

 

Performances:

September 6 and 7- Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain  Park. Saturday and Sunday we will dance at 1:30pm each day for a 30 minute show.

 

October 5- Cotton Pickin’ Fair, Gay, GA  We dance 1:00pm.

 

October 11- Hillcrest Orchard’s Apple Fest, Ellijay, GA.  Dance at 1:30pm.

 

Tallulah Falls Workshop October 24th and 25th.

 

September rehearsal dates:

Sept. 4, 11, 18, and 25th.

 

Tallulah Falls Workshop:

The workshop begins on Friday night at 7:30pm.  We will leave the CMS parking lot as soon after 4pm as we can.  It takes about 2.5 hours to get up there due to traffic.  We will be served dinner when we arrive. Saturday morning begins about 9am so those who have band on Friday night can arrange to come join us on Saturday morning.  The total cost for the trip is $100 for room and meals and $25 for tuition.  The clogging fund is paying $75 toward your trip for each of you.  So…we need as many to go as possible.  I need a count of who will go by September 25th. 

 

Uniforms:

Please get your uniforms in good repair and clean your shoes.  If you have borrowed someone’s shirt, please return it, unless you have made arrangements to continue using it!
